Skin Cancer Check, Mole Removal & Minor Skin Surgery

Concerned about a mole or skin spot? Book a skin check with one of our doctors.

That small mole or changing spot might be nothing…
Changes in moles or skin lesions should be assessed by a doctor.

At Dandenong Doctors, We provide thorough skin assessments, investigation of suspicious lesions and treatment where clinically appropriate with simple, thorough skin checks.

Why Skin Checks Matter More Than You Think

Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer and melanoma in the world.
The good news? Most skin cancers are highly treatable when detected early. We provide skin examinations, assessment of suspicious lesions, and treatment where clinically appropriate.

A skin check can help assess moles and other skin lesions.

⚠️ When Should You Get Checked?

What to Wear for a Skin Check

For your skin check, it’s best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to remove, as your doctor may need to examine your entire skin surface. Avoid wearing makeup, nail polish, or heavy moisturisers on the day, as these can make it harder to assess your skin accurately. If you have long hair, consider tying it up so your scalp can be checked properly. Wearing minimal jewellery will also make the examination smoother and quicker

Who Is At Higher Risk?

You should have regular skin checks if you:
✔ Have fair skin or sun exposure history
✔ Work outdoors
✔ Have many moles or unusual spots
✔ Have a personal or family history of skin cancer
